an annual conference organized by students from University of
Toronto Faculty of
Law and Osgoode Hall Law School of York University,
which aims to raise awareness
and generate discussion about public
interest issues. The conference creates a
space for students, local
activists and
community members to share their experiences and
perspectives
on current social justice issues.
This year's conference is titled Evaluating Equality: 25 Years of
Charter Jurisprudence. Mary Eberts, a leading advocate in Charter
jurisprudence will be our keynote speaker.
Speakers’ panels will address law and development; the rights of Aboriginal children; refugee rights; disability rights; health law; and the future of equality rights.
Free admission. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments provided during conference with receptions on Friday and Saturday evenings.
